Calvary has called David Henry of Wake Forest, N.C., to become pastor of the church and he will begin in August, 2007.
David, 43, received his bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies from Southeastern College at Wake Forest in 2001 and completed his master of divinity degree in Advanced Biblical Studies from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2004. He currently is working on a master's of theology degree in New Testament and a Doctor of Ministry degree in Expository Preaching.
David was ordained Aug. 4, 1996.
He has served in the ministry since 1980 as a youth minister, music minister, associate pastor, and church planter. He also has served three years as moderator for the Antigua Barbuda Baptist Association and spent one year as national coordinator for Antigua's phase of Global Missions with Billy Graham.
David and his wife, Dornette, will celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary Sept. 3. They have three daughters: Sheree, Tarryn and Ariel. The family members are all natives of Antigua, West Indies.
